In Excel it's easy to add a $ to numbers (e.g., 123 becomes $123). But Word has no cell formats, and numbers vary and are scattered in different places — what can you do?
- Press Ctrl + H to open Find and Replace
- Find what: (<[0-9])
- Replace with: $\1
- √ Use wildcards
- <[0-9]: content that starts with a digit
- (<[0-9]): convert (<[0-9]) into an expression
- \1: the first expression
