Tips for opening the Windows Clipboard

If you copy something and don't paste it immediately, then accidentally press Ctrl + C again, does that mean the previously copied data can no longer be pasted? Of course not — Windows isn't that dumb. Windows actually has a Clipboard that keeps a record of copied items, but where is it?

  • Method 1:Start → Programs → Accessories → Clipboard
  • Method 2:Start → Run → type clipbrd → OK
Press Windows logo key + V to open it.
  • To share clipboard items across Windows 10 devices:  Start → Settings → System → Clipboard → Sync across devices → Automatically sync the text I copy
  • The sync feature is tied to your Microsoft account or work account, so it works as long as all devices are signed in with the same account.
